CAN YOU SEA THE VIEWS?

Brief

To provide artworks that would enhance the full renovation of a two-bedroom seafront apartment on the British Coast.

Solution

With views of the Isle of Wight and The Needles to the left, and Hengistbury Head to the right, this delightful apartment sits in a prime location, with the sea beckoning below and beyond. Both the living area and master bedroom benefit from large picture windows that draw in magnificent views, a palette of garden greens, white cliff tops and mingling horizon sea-to-sky blues painting a natural fresco. Framing this azure backdrop, vivid pinks and purples of hydrangeas provided inspiration in selecting seascape artworks for the flat’s interior.

The Trusted Art Guide - Bureau
The walls and floors are rendered in shades of neutral grey – a great support colour for dazzling art pieces and sumptuous furniture. Gloss white woodwork adds light and freshness. A subtle modern grey kitchen blends to the living space, not detracting from the key areas of interest in the seating and dining areas.

Although many of the furniture pieces are heirlooms of great sentimental value, the overall look and feel of the apartment is contemporary. The artworks and furniture merge effortlessly in a modern setting, an eclectic mix of contemporary comfort and cosiness. Together, neutrals and colour bursts, tradition and modernity form a harmonious melange for a beautiful, and happy coastal home.
